An abstract artist and photographer based in a studio in Emsworth, Hampshire.

I have been painting all my life but have been able to devote more time to my work in recent years. My canvases are dynamic and atmospheric — some paintings full of movement and broad sweeps of vibrant colour, others portraying stillness and calm, but always able effortlessly to capture the essence and depth of time, space and place.

I try to gain inspiration for my paintings from a variety of sources, sometimes reinterpreting a glimpse of light or a reflection in a landscape, field patterns or receding hills, or recapturing the interrelationship between shape and form that is central to my photographic style.

My paintings have a structure and geometry that offers a different perspective on the world around us. I am Birmingham born and bred.
